Rules

Distances
1. Swim course. 1.900m one loop, start and finish at Playitas Beach.
2. Bike course. 90Km one loop
3. Run Course. 21km one and half loop, from Playitas to Gran Tarajal town and back.

Cutt off time
The court schedules will apply regardless of the turn is taken out. After these times, the participant will be out of competition may move according to the existing rules of traffic.

Drafting

A triathlete may enter the drafting zone of another triathlete, subject to the decision of the judges and officers, under the following circumstances:

  • If within 15 seconds ahead
  • For safety reasons
  • In an aid station
  • At the entrance or exit of transition area
  • In hard cornering
  • Safety reasons determined by the judges and officials
  • A triathlete is reached, you must immediately leave the drafting zone of the triathlete that is advancing
  • Is forbidden to cut off other athletes.
  • Circular always on the right side of the causeway road.

Arbitration and Timing

A referee appointed by the Canary Islands Triathlon Federation will have the final decision to any anomaly for the course of the test. Will be attended by judges and auxiliary officers and FCT FETRI.
The timing will be conducted by electronic Chip hired for the occasion.

Security and medical care
Restricted areas will be controlled by guards of the organization and can only be accessed through the presentation of the participant's wrist or accreditation. The road safety is the responsibility of local police.
Medical services for the organization along the way, be authorized to remove any participant on medical grounds. Any emergency vehicle need to use the bike path to travel can do so by indicating their position light signals and sound. In all cases the vehicle will take precedence over the triathletes, who must give way.
Doping Control
The organization will conduct doping control participants under current regulations of the Anti-Doping Commission of the Spanish Triathlon Federation.

Appeals
Following the rules of the Canary Islands Triathlon Federation, a participant or coach any of the registered clubs may make claims on interim results on irregularities in the organization or penalties imposed by judges and officials.
Claims must be made in writing and handed to the Referee by a deposit of 50 €, who will review the decision at first instance. Of corrections, will be delivered the appeal to the Appeals Committee to be he who solves the case.
In the event the appeal is to the Appeals Committee, the chairman of the committee will meet with other members and try to listen to all parties concerned and studying the evidence. If making the appeal can not be present, their arguments can be left in writing.
Breach of this rule may invalidate the appeal. Having heard all possible evidence, the committee will retire to consider its verdict, which will be final and irrevocable.
The first decision will be communicated verbally and then in writing. In the event that the Referee or the Appeals Committee resolved in favor of the appellant, will be refunded the amount of the deposit.

Cancellations
To inclement weather or force majeure that prevent the conclusion of the test according to the schedule provided with all of its segments, the organization will conduct another test alternative according to the judges of the Canary Islands Triathlon Federation. This new alternative test also distributed the prizes set for the various classifications and in no case be postponed to another date or reimburse you for any money.

Cancellation of stretch of swimming for bad sea: Duathlon
Cancelling a flight of cycling rain event, natural disaster disqualification of the road: aquathlon.
Cancelling a flight of cycling and swimming, running race.
